Annual In-Service Clinic Conference

Coloring Outside the Lines:

Recentering Arts Education

With a consistent emphasis on high-stakes testing and improved accountability, it is important that arts education take its rightful place in the curricula of our schools. Please join us on January 8 – 9, 2010 at the Tampa Convention Center for the annual Florida Network of Arts Administrators’ Annual In-Service Clinic. At this joint conference with the Florida Music Educators Association, participants will have the opportunity to establish relationships, celebrate successes, and learn from gifted presenters about the power inherent in arts education. The focus of this year’s conference is on bringing the cultural and communal power of arts education back into the classroom and establishing connections that prove the value of the arts beyond quantifiable standardized assessments. Please consider joining like-minded colleagues as we gather to “recenter arts education.”
